Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler in Plainfield, IN for a temporary-to-permanent position. The role includes handling aerospace products, operating a forklift, and supporting a fast-paced distribution network.

The job offers weekly pay, paid training, safety gear, and advancement opportunities. The shift is first, Monday through Friday, with additional duties across warehouse functions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years in warehouse and powered industrial lift experience.
• Able to read and perform basic math and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to input data into computer systems.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply WMS order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions affect the customer.
• Recognize damaged product and take action when discovered.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders and verify pallets and stage locations.
• Prepare receiving/storage/shipping documentation and maintain product accountability.
• Follow location and work center safety and security policies.
• Train others in warehouse functions and operate powered equipment; perform housekeeping duties.
• Operate forklift or other warehouse machinery
