Job summary

Spherion Staffing is seeking professional, safety-conscious Forklift Operators to join our team at a premier facility in Orangeburg, SC. This temp-to-hire role offers daily Monday–Friday shifts, with OT and Saturday overtime as needed, in a climate-controlled warehouse environment.

Qualified candidates have recent PIT certification within 18 months, a high school diploma or GED, and strong reading/comprehension of safety documents. Pay is $19.50 per hour with full benefits after conversion.

Qualifications

• Must have been previously certified and operated a Power Industrial Truck (PIT) within the past 18 months and be able to provide references.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety signs, instructional documents, and technical manuals.
• Pass the comprehensive certification process including lecture, written exam, and hands-on evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand up PIT equipment and order pickers to move product and materials.
• Use a handheld scanner with high accuracy.
• Load and unload trailers and perform inbound receiving processes.
• Adhere to the safety program and maintain a clean environment.
• Work in a climate-controlled warehouse and lift up to 50 lbs.
