Job summary

On-Board Services in Orangeburg, SC is hiring a Forklift Operator to support a local manufacturing partner. The role involves safe forklift operation, accurate inspections, and keeping the warehouse organized during daily tasks.

You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor; typical shift Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with an $18.00 hourly rate and benefits including 401k. Prior forklift experience is preferred, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and perform inspections.
• Maintain forklifts and keep equipment clean.
• Track goods location during handling using WMS/WMSystem and ensure data accuracy.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by warehouse supervisor or lead (inventory, sampling, cleaning).
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized at all times.
• Assist with loading/unloading during seed delivery season to meet customer expectations.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in emergency protocols.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Orangeburg, SC

Rate: $18.00 per hour

Shift: M-F (7am-3:30pm)

Variable Shifts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.
• Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift
• Continuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS. Use the WMSystem accordingly and ensure accurate data entry.
• Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling, inventory, cleaning)
• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy
• During the seed delivery and return season: ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations
• Maintain safety standards - initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessary

Preferred Experience

• Prior forklift experience is preferred

Qualifications / Basic Job Requirements

• Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings
• Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed.
