Job summary

US Wire Group is seeking a Forklift Operator to move stands, wire and materials between production areas. You will weigh finished products and stage them for the next department, coordinating with operators to ensure timely material flow.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 18+, and pass pre-employment screenings. Forklift experience, barcode reading, and ability to work outdoors in all weather are required.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent education required.
• Must be 18 years or older due to work environment and labor laws.
• Able to pass pre-employment background, drug/alcohol, and physical screenings.
• Able to understand tags/labels used in the mill and production schedules.
• Experience operating a forklift and handling materials in a plant setting.

Responsibilities

• Transports wire, stands, spools, and materials to locations within the mill and yard.
• Coordinates with production to ensure materials arrive when needed and finished products are moved efficiently.
• Operates forklift and related machinery safely.
• Maintains housekeeping and complies with safety rules.
• Weighs finished products and moves to appropriate department or staging areas.
• Maintains stock organization and assists with inventory prep.
• Adheres to quality specifications per QA guidelines.
