Job summary

MAHLE Thermal and Filter Systems US is seeking a Forklift Operator/Material Handler to safely operate a forklift to stack, relocate and move goods between production lines and warehouses. You will be responsible for timely delivery of parts and materials along with maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2–3 years forklift experience in a manufacturing setting, and a valid state forklift license and driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2–3 years of experience safely operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have a valid state-issued license to operate a motor vehicle and a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to stack, relocate, and move goods, supplies and materials.
• Pick up and deliver parts and materials between production lines and between shipping/receiving and the warehouse.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and comply with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Perform operator duties as required, including safe handling of equipment.

Job description

The Forklift Operator/Material Handler position will operate a forklift to stack, relocate, and move goods, supplies and materials from one place to another. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle (i.e. forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform etc.) and may also be required to perform operator duties.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
• 2 to 3 years of experience safely operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have valid state issued license to operate a motor vehicle.
• Picks up and delivers parts and materials between production lines.
• Picks up and delivers parts and materials from shipping/receiving and the warehouse.
• Must have and be able to maintain a valid state issued driver's license.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Dynamic communication / inter-personal skills.
• Highly organized and possess good decision-making skills.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete forklift training, including written and driving test and be issued a forklift license.
• Must have and be able to maintain a valid state issued driver's license.
