Job summary

FOH® Worldwide in Miami, FL is seeking a Forklift Operator Specialist to join the Distribution Center team and help maximize order fulfillment times. This permanent, full-time hourly role pays $17.00 per hour and requires 2+ years in a warehouse setting, 1+ year forklift experience, and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and handheld devices.

The job is based at 3151 Northwest 125th St., Miami, FL 33167. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a warehouse environment.
• 1+ year experience using sitting and standing forklift.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and handheld devices.
• Able to tolerate high-heat environment.
• Basic understanding of computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily transactions including bin replenishments, transfers and order activities to maximize cycle time.
• Updates perpetual inventory and records transfers on handheld device.
• Unloads containers, verifies quantities, and receives into handheld.
• Consolidates bin locations to free up space for inbound products.
• Follows forklift safety guidelines and ensures equipment is charged daily.
• Completes daily forklift checklist and reports issues to supervisor.
• Reconciles staging bins and optimizes FIFO for pick locations.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment in assigned areas.
• Records punches and time/attendance; participates in meetings.
• Promotes FOH culture in all interactions.

Position Summary: The Forklift Operator Specialist is part of the Distribution Center team. This role contributes to the success of the company by completing all inventory logistic procedures to maximize the turnaround time of order fulfillment. The Specialist supports our vision by being dedicated and committed to versatility and excellence in all we produce.

The Specialist role is a foundational position in which the skills and desired characteristics for professional growth within FOH® are developed.

• This role participates in our onsite schedule

Major Duties Include:

• Completes all daily transactions including bin replenishments, pending replenishments, activities, inter-company transfers, and production orders to maximize order cycle time
• Updates perpetual inventory to reflect the accurate movement of inventory within the DC, by entering transfers on the handheld
• Unloads containers, verifies quantity and items according to the packing list, and receives into handheld
• Consolidates bin locations freeing up bins for inbound products
• Follows forklift safety guidelines daily and ensures equipment is properly charged for the next day’s activities
• Completes daily forklift checklist and submits to the direct supervisor
• Reports any equipment issues or safety concerns to their direct supervisor promptly
• Reconciles staging bins 01pick01 and 01ship01 daily (bin with canceled orders, discontinued or overstock items)
• Optimizes first-in-first out (FIFO) inventory management for pick bin locations when completing bin replacements and transfers
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment in assigned aisles or areas
• Records personal daily punches and approves accurate bi-weekly time and attendance records
• Actively participates in all one-on-one and group meetings
• Promotes our FOH® Culture in all interactions

Education, Experience & Computer Skills:

• Minimum of 2+ years experience in a warehouse environment or related
• Minimum of 1+ year' experience using sitting and standing forklift
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and handheld devices
• Must be able to tolerate working in a high-heat environment
• Basic understanding of computer programs

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this role, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The team member frequently is required to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The team member is frequently required to sit; The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• Team Members may also need to pull or push 800lbs pallet jacks.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Must be able to tolerate conditions associated with no air conditioning or heat.
