Job summary

Randstad USA in Mebane, NC seeks a dependable sit-down forklift operator focused on dock operations and material flow. You will manage material movement on shipping/receiving docks, stage pallets, and load trailers while coordinating with truck drivers. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork on a fast-paced warehouse floor.

Hours run 07:45 AM to 08:00 PM. A PIT test is required, and compensation is competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Successful performance on a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Test.

Responsibilities

• Manage material movement on the shipping and receiving docks using a sit-down forklift.
• Stage pallets, load outbound freight, and organize inbound freight.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently while optimizing space.
• Coordinate with dock supervisors and drivers to manage trailer drops and live loading.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks using forklift as primary tool.

Job description

Control the flow of all materials in the warehouse! We are looking for dependable sit down forklift operators focused on dock operations and material flow management. This role is highly interactive with logistics and shipping teams and competitive hourly pay.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage all material movement on the shipping and receiving docks, utilizing the sit down forklift to stage, load, and organize inbound and outbound freight.
• Strategically place incoming pallets into temporary staging areas and move completed orders from the packing lines directly onto waiting trailers.
• Conduct precise, safe, and efficient loading of trailers, optimizing space utilization while adhering to transport safety regulations.
• Coordinate effectively with dock supervisors and truck drivers to manage trailer drops, swaps, and live loading timelines.
• Act as a general warehouse support, moving large bulk items or assisting with reorganization projects using the forklift as the primary tool.
