Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are looking for experienced High-Reach Forklift & Cherry Picker Operators to join our night operations team. In a furniture distribution center, accuracy and safety are everything. Our inventory is large, heavy, and stored high up, meaning we need operators with precision control and strong spatial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Elevation Maneuvering: Safely operate stand-up cherry pickers (order pickers) and high-reach forklifts to store and retrieve furniture items from high-bay racking systems.


• Heavy-Duty Order Picking: Locate, pick, and stage large, bulky furniture pieces (e.g., sofas, mattresses, case goods) efficiently using warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanners.


• Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Put away incoming inventory into designated high-reach slots and pull scheduled items for morning deliveries, ensuring zero damage to the product.


• Safety & Maintenance: Perform mandatory pre-shift equipment inspections, report mechanical issues immediately, and maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety guidelines.


• Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the night shift loading and staging crews to keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and ready for morning operations.

What We Are Looking For (Job Requirements)

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verified experience operating stand-up cherry pickers and high-reach lifts (experience in a furniture or large-format goods warehouse is a major plus).


• Comfort at Heights: Must be completely comfortable working on elevated platforms up to [Insert height, e.g., 30-40 feet] while properly using safety harnesses and fall-protection gear.


• Physical Strength: Ability to confidently handle heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of bulky furniture items (up to [Insert weight, e.g., 75+ lbs] safely, often in tandem with a team member).
