Job summary

Lifeway Foods, Inc. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Worker to operate a forklift, relocate and ship Lifeway Kefir and related products. The role emphasizes safe operation, accurate counting, and adherence to SOP/SSOP and SQF procedures in a cold environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, staging pallets, verifying lot codes, and maintaining organized documentation for inbound and outbound loads. Strong communication with drivers and teammates is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3–6 months related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
• Experience operating yard/terminal tractor and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard/terminal tractor.
• Load and offload trailers.
• Accurately ship products to sister company and customers.
• Ensure shipments meet deadlines and are shipped on time.
• Follow SQF procedures and safety regulations.
• Utilize FIFO system for finished goods and materials.
• Take product temperature checks and work in cold environment.
