Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to move materials safely between production lines and the warehouse. The role requires forklift experience and the ability to operate a handheld device for inventory, with adherence to safety and labeling standards.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with a focus on accurate material handling, packaging, and timely deliveries. Training in SAP and safety protocols will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Two or more years forklift operator experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to use a computer to complete tasks independently.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Willing to follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Willing to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy environments.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Transport material safely with forklift
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling procedures are followed
• Perform inventory transactions with handheld device
• Ensure correct placement of materials on trucks to prevent damage
• Print materials for delivery drivers from computer
• Use PPE as required
• Follow plant safety and environmental guidelines
• Ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables
• Perform basic shipping functions in SAP
• Assist with other production duties
• Other duties as assigned
