Sun Gro Horticulture is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load and unload products, complete shipping/receiving paperwork, and perform monthly inventory while maintaining a clean yard. The role requires daily forklift inspections and adherence to safety procedures.

This on-site position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to operate in varying weather conditions, with responsibilities that include handling case goods and meeting management expectations.

Qualifications

• Fluent in verbal and written English.
• Knowledge of forklift operations and safe material handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret bills of lading and load logs.
• Load and unload the correct product into trucks and trailers.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately, including matching purchase orders and receiving documents, and filing them correctly.
• Apply required trailer safety devices (wheel chocks, safety chains, loading plates, etc.).
• Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with truck drivers and office personnel.
• Keep the yard clean, safe, and organized.
• Operate the forklift safely at all times and complete daily forklift inspections.
• Perform monthly inventory counts and handle case goods as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or team leaders.
