Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator at the Cockrill Bend-Salvage site to safely load, unload, and move inventory in the plant and warehouse. No experience is required, but certification is required to operate the forklift.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, safe handling, and coordinating material storage with warehouse staff while maintaining a clean, accident-free work area.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to read and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be able to learn job techniques from short demonstrations up to one month.
• Forklift certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials for plant and warehouse operations using a forklift.
• Check stacking, wrapping, and banding for safe transport and storage.
• Follow safety procedures and policies for forklift and pallet jack operation.
• Inspect incoming product for proper wrapping and labeling as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform daily forklift checks.
• Unloading trailers by hand as assigned by management.
