Job summary

Midsouth Talent Inc is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move materials within warehouses and loading docks in the Memphis area. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, loading/unloading, and maintaining accurate inventory logs.

Candidates must hold a valid OSHA forklift license or training and be able to work long hours while maintaining a high level of safety and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Valid OSHA-compliant forklift operator license or training certificate.
• Ability to sit or stand for long hours and lift heavy items when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate Equipment: Drive sit-down or stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move goods.
• Load and Unload: Move materials safely on and off trucks, trailers, and loading docks.
• Manage Inventory: Scan product barcodes with RF scanners and log movements in the warehouse system.
• Inspect Machines: Complete daily pre-shift safety checks on brakes, forks, and fluid levels.
• Maintain Safety: Follow workplace safety rules, wear safety gear, and keep aisles clear of hazards.
