Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; forklift, manufacturing, or lumber experience preferred.
• Must complete the company forklift licensing process; current forklift certification is a plus
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory practices preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Move material from inventory to production and back to inventory according to the production schedule.
• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Move finished goods from production to the yard or warehouse.
• Band, wrap, and label finished goods by type, size, and count.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Handle freshly treated material following safe-handling procedures and SDS
• Complete pre-shift equipment inspection and report issues before operating
• Perform general preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Maintain organized yards for rough material and finished goods
• Record production accurately on sheets and other required records
• Follow forklift rules, speed, load limits, and pedestrian safety policies
• Assist other areas by moving material and loading/unloading trucks and carts
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Perform other duties as required
