Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking a Warehouse Associate with forklift experience to manage inbound and outbound shipments at our Atlanta area facility. You will verify materials for CDC, inspect and document items, and coordinate with security and the receiving team.

Responsibilities include packaging, barcode tagging, inventory checks, and operating a forklift safely across daily tasks. We value organization, clear communication, and a strong safety mindset in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience operating a forklift.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a forklift License.
• Knowledge of various material-handling equipment an asset.
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive items ordered by and for specific organizations at the CDC Center.
• Verify that CDC is to receive the material by checking acquisition documents.
• Inspect incoming shipments; reject damaged items and record shortages.
• Notify the Material Coordinator of discrepancies or damages found.
• Report suspicious packages to CDC Security.
• Mark packages with delivery designation and attach documents.
• Document package movement from receiving to delivery point.
• Identify and barcode all accountable property within one day of receipt.
• Scan items prior to loading and at final destination.
• Scan bar codes for excess items and inventory equipment.
