Job summary

Amsted Rail in Camp Hill, PA is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to safely move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility. You will support production by delivering materials efficiently and keeping inventory accurate, while maintaining clean, organized work areas and adhering to safety standards.

This role requires a High School diploma, at least one year in manufacturing, and forklift authorization (training provided).

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing position.
• Must obtain forklift operator’s authorization (company training provided).
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing orders, parts and raw materials.
• Ability to follow clearly defined work instructions and work independently.
• Ability to sit for approximately 10 hours per day.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. approximately 3-5 times per hour.
• Ability to lift 85 lbs to change propane tank on forklift 1-2 times per day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily log and assigned checklist of assigned forklift.
• Perform routine driver’s check on fluid levels and general condition of forklift.
• Load/unload or stage materials as needed to assure production flow.
• Operate a forklift in a safe manner.
• Complete material requisitions as required.
• Accurately enter time and labor reporting daily.
• Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform additional duties as deemed necessary.
