Job summary

Central Garden & Pet, a leading consumer goods company in the pet and garden industries, is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for its Greenfield, Missouri facility. The role emphasizes safety, timely handling of loads, and proper inventory rotation to maintain efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, operating the forklift safely, and performing daily inspections.

Qualifications

• Must be safety conscious and able to perform required functions under tight deadlines.
• Must be able to lift 55 pounds and work with others.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, ensuring products are in shippable condition.
• Operate the forklift in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Ship oldest products first (rotate all products).
• Secure all loads properly.
• Check in all inbound products for count and quality issues.
• Maintain daily forklift inspections and notify the Safety Manager or Plant Manager of any issues.
• Report any unsafe conditions or practices to your shift foreman immediately.
• Help train new coworkers.
