Job summary

Central Garden & Pet’s Norton, MA facility is seeking a General Warehouse/Forklift Driver to support production flows and outbound shipping during peak periods. The role includes operating forklifts, stacking materials, and assisting on the production line when needed.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of forklift experience. The position is full-time, non-exempt, and pays $17.00–$20.00 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience as forklift operator with high reach; minimum 1 year.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Effective listening and communication, both verbal and written.
• Time management and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and safely stack them.
• Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Daily safety and maintenance check of vehicle; report concerns.
• Keep updated inventory and activity logs.
• Support production lines as needed, including Light Assembly, Pick Pack, Pallet Build, Pack Out, Tray Building.
• Other duties to assist production as requested.
