Job summary

Oregon Freeze Dry, Inc. in Albany, Oregon is seeking a Forklift/Inventory Associate to move materials, load and unload trucks, and support production lines.

You will maintain accurate inventory, follow GMPs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow. The role requires adherence to safety standards, precise documentation, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of forklift operation or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with inventory and warehouse management systems, including digital tracking tools.
• GMPs and food safety standards knowledge in food production environments.
• Knowledge of material handling procedures, shipping/receiving operations, and FIFO rotation.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and inventory control.
• Effective communication for coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in computer systems for inventory tracking and digital documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills to keep workspaces clean and compliant.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks while following food safety and company handling standards.
• Deliver ingredients and supplies to production lines to support continuous operations.
• Transfer finished products to storage or shipping areas with accurate inventory tracking.
• Assist with inventory tasks including cycle counts, FIFO rotation, and location accuracy.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve material flow issues.
• Follow GMPs, sanitation standards, and food safety guidelines at all times.
• Accurately complete documentation for inventory, shipping, and material movement.
• Conduct forklift inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Participate in safety programs, report potential hazards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse and material handling processes.
• Support production operations as needed by performing line tasks, assisting with equipment operation, and maintaining workflow continuity.
