Forklift Operator - Receiving - Bakery Plant 2nd Shift

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Support safety procedures with a focus on zero injuries.
• Maintain quality work processes.
• Follow all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Remove waste from production lines and containers; push waste carts to dumpsters.
• Change forklift batteries.
• Operate shrink wrapper and replace shrink wrap rolls.
• Use inventory control devices.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean.
• Load and unload trucks, move inventory.
• Transport supplies to production areas.
• Record trailer temperature settings.
• Document SKU and case numbers for loose cases.
• Monitor conveyor systems.
• Verify case codes and counts on inbound trucks.
• Communicate issues to Team Lead or Coordinator.
• Work overtime as needed to meet schedules.
• Report to Team Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum:

• 3+ months experience in production, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up double reach forklifts.

Preferred:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food processing or packaging.
• Experience in USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP environments.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Sit, stand, walk, climb stairs.
• Operate forklifts in refrigerated warehouses.
• Pick products, count cases, record data.
