Job summary

Abbott in Altavista, VA (Nutrition division) is seeking an Operator Warehouse Receiving to handle finished goods and raw materials using Cambar/MITS FEFO processes. You will store, pick, and verify materials, ensure accuracy against documentation, and maintain proper labeling in the MITs system in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and forklift license, with preferred experience in a Warehouse Management System and basic PC skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift driver's license required.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
• Ability to operate a personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Understand and properly utilize finished goods and raw material selection by using the Cambar/MITS system to support FEFO.
• Store, pick or assemble materials in the warehouse, verifying the commodity number, quantity, release status and lot number.
• Check materials against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills or other pertinent documentation to assure conformity and accuracy.
• Store all raw materials in assigned areas within the warehouse.
• Prior to storing, remove all visibly damaged products and return it to the appropriate processing area.
• Properly label and receive raw materials into the MITs system.
• Stage labels and complete label control portion of work order.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate and obtain a forklift driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of a Warehouse Management System.
• Ability to efficiently using a personal computer.

The base pay for this position is $17.15 – $34.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
