Job summary

Waukesha-pearce Industries Llc in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Utility Person I to operate a forklift, move parts, and load or unload equipment. You will handle shipping and receiving from manufacturers, customers, and other sources, and you will clean and prep equipment for shipment and storage.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver license, and the ability to operate forklifts, steam cleaners, overhead cranes, and basic hand tools.

Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
Ability to effectively operate forklifts.
Ability to effectively operate steam cleaner/parts cleaner.
Ability to effectively operate general hand tools.
Ability to effectively operate overhead cranes.
Good organizational skills.
Able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep shop clean and organized.
General maintenance on equipment and buildings.
Pick-up and delivery as required.
Maintain steam cleaner/parts cleaner equipment.
Ensure that material/components removed from vat are properly cleaned and organized.
Steam cleaning of parts, engines, and other equipment.
Assist Technicians as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
