Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our dock team. The role requires operating forklift and pallet jack to load and unload freight while adhering to safety policies.

You will scan shipments and work on a non-climate-controlled dock with potential for varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. Qualified candidates are 18+ and able to perform basic math. Previous dock/warehouse experience and forklift expertise are preferred to support efficient loading and

What you’ll need to succeed as a Forklift Operator at XPO

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Preferred qualifications:

• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry
• Forklift experience in a freight or less-than-truckload (LTL) environment
• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed

About the Forklift Operator job

Pay, benefits and more:

• Expected pay range: $24.37to $29.93 per hour. Pay is on an annual step progression. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set
• Afternoon Shift, Day/Hours: 1700-2200
• Competitive and comprehensive benefits options available for those scheduled to work 30 hours or more/week
• This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Forklift Operators are required to:

• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 70 lbs.)
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary
