Job summary

Arnold Lumber Company in Bristol, RI is seeking an experienced Material Handler to support yard and warehouse operations and provide friendly customer service.

You will load and unload trucks safely, accurately pull and stage materials, and maintain a clean, organized facility while following OSHA and company safety rules. Forklift certified candidates who can lift 80 lbs are preferred.

Construction or home improvement background is a plus, and we offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED; Forklift Certified.
• Experience operating machinery and knowledge of building materials.
• Lift 80lbs and overhead lifting capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in yard and warehouse.
• Safely load and unload trucks and manage materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support inventory and transfers with paperwork and reporting discrepancies.
• Follow forklift safety inspections and OSHA regulations.

What You'll Do

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in a polite, professional manner and supporting their needs in the yard and warehouse.
• Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate handling, stacking, and storage of materials to maintain product integrity and minimize damage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including general housekeeping, facility upkeep, and proper signage placement per company standards.
• Support inventory and transfers by accurately pulling and staging products, processing paperwork, and reporting discrepancies or damaged items promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols, including completing forklift inspections, maintaining required certifications, and adhering to OSHA and company safety regulations.
