Job summary

Novolex is hiring a Forklift Operator for the Romeoville facility. The role operates 6PM–6AM on a 223 schedule and includes a $750 sign-on bonus and a $250 referral bonus, with opportunities for pay progression through a skills program.

The position requires forklift experience, RF barcode proficiency, and a commitment to safety. Starting pay is supplemented by a $1.50/hr shift differential, bringing total compensation above base hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred; must complete certification within 90 days of placement.
• Prior use of RF barcode reader and vehicle-mounted (VMU) computer systems is preferred.
• Basic math skills required for material movement and counts.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, clamp lift, and other material-handling equipment.
• Receive and interpret material movement orders.
• Support cycle counting and physical inventory of non-poly and finished goods.
• Assist with recycle, repack, labelling, and stretch-wrapping of products.
• Maintain housekeeping and inventory integrity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Description

Forklift Operator | Romeoville | HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Do you have experience working as Dock Worker, Forklift Driver, Clamp Truck Operator? We want you on our TEAM!!!

Available Shifts: 6PM- 6AM on a 223 Schedule

Compensation:

• Starting Pay at $21.32 + $1.50/hr shift differential
• Plus $750 Sign on Bonus!!!

• Eligible for pay for skill program to increase pay as you gain skills

Responsibilities

• Including forklift, clamp lift, barcode readers and safety equipment
• Receive and understand material movement orders
• Cycle counting support
• Physical inventory support (non-poly and finished goods)
• Recycle support
• Repack boxes, stencil/re-label boxes, stretch wrap product, hand stack product
• Housekeeping Duties; inventory consolidation; material reclaim and scrap
• Must have proven experience working in a fast paced Warehouse/Logistics environment
• Sit-down Forklift Truck Experience
• Prior use of RF barcode reader and vehicle mounted (VMU) computer systems preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast paced manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Push-pull attachment operation a plus
• Minimum of 1 years recent forklift experience preferred
• Forklift Certification preferred
• Must successfully complete forklift certification program; complete certification manual within 90 days of placement
• Basic knowledge of mathematics
• Must have the basic ability to communicate, orally and written, in the English language
• Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with little supervision
• Will be required to be certified in Lockout/Tag Out and Forklift Operation upon assignment
