Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Night Forklift Operator in Charlotte, NC to move pallet loads, replenish pick slots at night, and perform equipment safety checks. You will work in coolers and freezers, record damages, and maintain clean aisles.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, and Voxware familiarity. Paid training, overtime, and benefits start day one are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related Experience: Certification for Material Handling Equipment; Prior Selector and/or Forklift experience preferred
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: read/write legibly; basic math; understand Voxware commands

Responsibilities

• Transports pallet loads of product from the dock to the correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and ensures pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when selected
• Replenishes pick slots with products from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection
• Performs operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher
• Records all product, equipment, and warehouse damage
• Maintains the cleanliness of aisles by removing debris from floor and racks
• Works continually in cooler (35°F-45°F) & freezer (-10°F to +10°F) wearing company apparel

What You Bring To The Table

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related Experience: Job-related certification for Material Handling Equipment; Prior Selector and/or Forklift experience is preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); must be able to understand Voxware commands.

Great Forklift Operators are crucial to the US Foods® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our Forklift Operators strive for integrity and reliability while building trusting relationships with customers.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $21.00 and $26.00. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
