Job summary

US FOODS is seeking a Forklift Operator to transport pallet loads from dock to warehouse slots, replenish pick slots, and perform safety checks. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and related material handling certification or forklift experience.

The position offers scheduled shifts, paid training and overtime, and benefits starting day one, including medical/dental/vision and a 401(k) plan. Excellent leadership and opportunities for growth are highlighted.

Operate an industrial forklift to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and loading dock. Operate forklift/high-lift in order to lower stock to ground level pick-level slots from higher level reserve slots during night shift & day shift, and to put received stock in higher level storage slots during the day shift using safe operating practices.

The pay for the position: $25.00 - $27.00

The starting pay rate is: 25.00 per hour

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 5pm until finish

Main Ingredients of the Job

As a US FOODS® Forklift Operator you will be critical to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.

• Transports pallet loads of product from the dock to the correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and ensures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when the product is selected.
• Replenishes pick slots with products from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
• Performs operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
• Records all product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
• Maintains the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from the floor and racks.

What you bring to the table

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related Experience: Job-related certification for Material Handling Equipment; Prior Selector and/or Forklift experience is preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); must be able to understand Voxware commands.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $25.00 and $27.00.
