Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Lift Truck Operator in Chattanooga, TN. The role involves safely operating sit-down, stand-up, reach, and clamp trucks to load/unload, move and stage materials, and support inventory accuracy.

Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse systems is preferred, with forklift certification a plus. The position offers various shifts, ongoing training, and a safety-focused warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, clamp truck, and other equipment.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers efficiently and accurately.
• Move, stage, stack, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Verify quantities, labels, and storage locations before movement.
• Support receiving, shipping, replenishment, put-away, and order fulfillment.
• Complete daily forklift inspections and report safety concerns.
• Use RF scanners, tablets, and WMS to track inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory and movement records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment while meeting productivity goals.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and SOPs.

• Basic RF scanner, inventory management, or warehouse system experience preferred
• Current forklift certification preferred; company certification opportunities may be available

• Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions, including temperature changes, dust, and noise
• Ability to maintain awareness of pedestrians, equipment, and surrounding warehouse activities
