Band III Forklift Operator
2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm
Hiring Minimum: $18.30-$20.28 (includes differential)
POSITION SUMMARY:
This key position requires the efficient and safe operation of a forklift to move sheet stock, square stock, and milled stock in and around the Main Mill building. Also requires loading and unloading tractor trailers and railcars. In addition to organizing warehouse area, the forklift operator will supply the industrial saws, CNCs, and drill presses with sheet and square stock. This position requires a valid driver’s license and prior forklift experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow safety rules, procedures, guidelines, and training given. Recognize and report hazards to designated individual(s). Actively participate in safety program. Practice safe work habits and report accidents/injuries immediately.
- Flexibility in job assignments and adaptability to changing business needs
- Continually learn and apply new skills.
- Load sheet stock on Galaxy and Holzma saws and CNC machines.
- Load square stock on drill presses
- Organize and maintain square stock in the warehouse, stacking in correct locations.
- Load and unload stock trailers and inbound shipments of plywood. May require the occasional unloading of railcars.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and forklift. Light forklift maintenance.
- Interface with manufacturing personnel, across departments and shifts on material status and production assembly issues.
- Confer with shift supervisor to coordinate and organize materials.
- Communicate well and get along with team members, actively listen, ask questions to understand, provide encouragement.
- Collaboratively support a cooperative and positive team environment.
- Maintain excellent attendance, with overtime required as business needs dictate.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned and fill in for other areas, as needed.

Qualifications
Education / Experience:
- Prior warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping/receiving experience is preferred.
- Forklift operator license and valid driver’s license
- General knowledge of small hand tools.
