Job summary

Manitowoc, WI – Sadoff Iron & Metal is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials within the facility, load/unload trucks, and assist customers. The role requires safe forklift operation, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Pass forklift driving training or demonstrate safe handling in an on-site test.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment used in metal recycling (preferred).
• Knowledge of non-ferrous metals properties (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials and products within the facility.
• Load and unload trucks and transfer materials.
• Sort metals and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE; report safety concerns.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and coworkers across departments.
• Assist other teams (production, shipping, maintenance) as needed.
• Keep storage areas organized to maximize space and access.
