Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a dedicated forklift operator for our Indiana facility. You will transport materials, move goods between cells, and support continuous production with attention to safety and efficiency.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain a forklift license. You will use Epic Scanner and SAP for material movement, and overtime may be necessary to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to acquire forklift license promptly.
• Knowledge of safety regulations.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal directions and charts.
• Flexibility to respond quickly to numerous requests and paging announcements.
• Alertness and awareness of surrounding activities in all directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and follow directions in a fast-paced production environment.
• Perform duties within acceptable quality, quantity, performance and safety standards.
• Use Epic Scanner for material movement in SAP.
• Transport materials and baskets to and from work cells to maintain continuous production.
• Overtime as required.
• Load and unload trucks, move machinery as requested.
• Perform safety checks and basic preventative maintenance on forklifts.
• Follow safety regulations at all times.
