Job summary

Tenneco Litchfield, a manufacturing facility of the Clean Air division, seeks a Material Handler to move materials by forklift, load/unload products, and support SAP-based shipping and receiving. Expect a fast-paced environment and mandatory safety training.

Primary duties include operating forklifts, using SAP/Epic Scanner, and ensuring accurate paperwork while adhering to safety standards. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to acquire forklift license with medical certification.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal directions and charts.
• Flexibility and ability to respond quickly to numerous requests and paging announcements.
• Alertness and awareness of surrounding activities in all directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in a fast-paced production environment.
• Coordinate with carriers for customers' shipments.
• Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and dock safety procedures.
• Use Epic Scanner for material movement in SAP and receiving materials.
• Transport materials to and from work cells to sustain production.
• Perform basic SAP transactions.
• Follow plant safety policies and procedures.
• Overtime as required.
• Load and unload trucks and verify inbound/outbound shipments.
