Job summary

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. is seeking a forklift operator at our Dayton, TX site. You will load/unload and move material within the plant, yard, or worksite, and on/off trucks, while verifying deliveries against invoices and maintaining accurate logs.

Qualifications

• Must maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions.
• Knowledge of plant layout including location of finished products and raw materials.
• Knowledge of paperwork flow for shipping and receiving documents.
• Adherence to plant safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload and move material within or near plant, yard or worksite, and on/off trucks.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials to be moved.
• Open containers using Hand tools as required.
• Receive materials into the plant and verify against invoices for accuracy.
• Count or weigh parts to verify quantity accuracy.
• Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance as per manufacturer’s instructions and report repairs.
• Document actions and complete production and quality logs.
• Contribute to organizational goals by taking ownership of new requests and adding value.
• Maintain general housekeeping in and around workspace and equipment.
