Job summary

UFP Site Built in Temple, TX is looking for a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, maintain accurate production records, and supply departments with materials per the schedule.

You will perform pre-shift equipment checks, keep the yard organized, support production during bottlenecks, and follow all forklift safety rules. Candidates must be at least 18, have basic math skills, and successfully complete forklift licensing.

Qualifications

• No minimum experience required; forklift driving experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have basic math skills.
• Forklift driver licensing process must be completed successfully.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods from production area to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain organized and clean rough material and finished goods yard.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
