Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a dedicated Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our distribution center in the United States. You will operate forklifts, load and unload materials, and ensure accurate distribution paperwork while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to proficiently and safely use a forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks.
• Ability to read and comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety materials, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
• Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.
