Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator at our Omaha distribution center. This role supports safe handling and timely distribution of building products in a team-oriented environment.

The position offers a fixed wage of $20.09 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth within a leading wholesale distributor. Successful candidates will have forklift experience and a solid work history.

Qualifications

• One year or more forklift/warehouse experience.
• Able to operate forklift safely and proficiently.
• Able to read and comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, and safety material.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift per training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars with minimal damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.
• Perform daily equipment inspection and maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the work area.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts as needed.
