Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Material Handler in South Gate, CA to operate forklift equipment and move materials within the warehouse. The role requires forklift certification, basic math, and safe handling of loads.

You will support various departments, manage inventories, and ensure accurate loading per purchase orders. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 3-6 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3-6 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control lifting devices.
• Positions forks or lifting devices under pallets and transports loads to designated areas.
• Unloads and stacks materials by raising and lowering lifting devices.
• Inventories materials on the floor and supplies workers as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weights.
• Loads/unloads materials onto pallets or lifting devices and verifies part accuracy against purchase orders.
