Job summary

Valeo North America Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support the Physical Flows team. The role involves loading/unloading trailers, locating and transferring materials, and ensuring accurate material flow across receiving, shipping, and line areas.

You will work with RF scanning to manage inventory and assist multiple departments with material handling. Candidates should hold a high school diploma, a valid forklift certification, and experience operating a forklift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid forklift certification
• Experience driving a forklift
• Good spatial awareness
• Ability to operate and control equipment
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Knowledge of handling and storing materials (material flow)
• Knowledge and experience with safe practices in driving a forklift
• Availability to support coverage on any shift (as necessary)
• Overtime availability with minimal to no prior notification

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers
• Locate material around the facility
• Transfer material to its proper staging location
• Securing loads to the machine before transportation
• Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment
• Inspecting the vehicle for damages
• Operating and managing technical equipment
• Support other departments with their handling of material and/or equipment
• For Receiving: Stamp receiver number and sticker incoming components
• For Shipping: Remove shipping ticket from finished goods label
• For Line Area: Supply production areas with material and empty containers on a timely basis
