Valmont Industries in Claremore, OK is seeking a Material Handler responsible for receiving, unloading, storing, and inspecting product loads. You will operate forklifts to move material and generate tags with details for tracking.

This role requires attention to quality, safety, and teamwork, with outside work in varying weather and standing most of the shift. Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook and basic math is helpful.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• 2 years relevant experience.
• Ability to operate forklifts.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to read tags and packing papers.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts up to 22,000 lbs to move material.
• Read tags, bills of lading, and shipping papers.
• Create tags with piece count and packaging details.
• Move steel and other material up to 50 pounds by hand.
• Inspect galvanized product for quality and report defects.
• Interact with customers and truck drivers regarding special handling.
• Maintain area housekeeping and safety; follow PPE requirements.
