Job summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. in Tuscumbia, AL, is seeking FORKLIFT OPERATORS for the location. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Summary: Drives industrial forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Regular hours are 11pm-7am. Additional hours to be expected. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, forklift experience, and Lumber experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed
• Keeps record of inventory.
