Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a warehouse supervisor to lead a 10+ person team in receiving, storing and distributing materials.

You will read schedules and orders to determine items to move, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure accurate handling and labeling. The role requires interpreting detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment while adhering to TSA and OSHA guidelines, with responsibilities spanning from receipt to shipping and OS&D reporting.

Qualifications

Our extensive experience, connections, and deep expertise across different sectors, industries, and transportation modes, means we can be counted on for process excellence that will save time and money.Summary: Receives, stores, and distributes material and products within warehouse by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Ability to lead and direct team efforts in a warehouse environment.• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.• Marks materials with identifying information such as labels.• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.• Arranges product in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)• Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:Leads a group of 10+ employees in the warehouse operation.
