Job summary

York Building Products is seeking a Forklift Operator/Laborer to move materials, load trucks, and pick orders for customers. You’ll operate forklifts and other equipment, read loading tickets, and ensure every load is accurate and secure.

Ideal candidates have forklift experience, are comfortable around heavy equipment, and follow safety procedures. You’re dependable, able to work extended hours, and a team player who can work with minimal supervision to keep the yard moving.

Responsibilities

• Drive, load, and unload materials using forklifts and other equipment to keep materials moving.
• Read loading and picking tickets and ensure loads are accurate and secure.
• Organize, move, and re-palletize materials for order readiness.
• Coordinate with Supervisors, Customer Service, and Sales to meet delivery timelines.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
