Job summary

JAM Industries, Ltd. is seeking a driven Forklift Operator to safely operate forklift equipment and transport materials within our warehouse on-site in Mississippi.

The role includes pre-operation checks, lifting and loading materials, and assisting with inventory and shipping tasks as needed. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of forklift driving experience, a forklift license, and the ability to read purchase orders and packing lists.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• At least 1 year forklift driving experience and forklift license.
• Detail oriented and able to read purchase orders/packing lists.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated organization and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
• Basic Excel experience and good verbal/email communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move materials between receiving, storage, service and shipping areas.
• Organize and secure materials on pallets and pallets handling.
• Perform routine pre-inspection of equipment.
• Load/unload materials from pallets or lifting devices.
• Receive inventory and ensure accurate inbound quantities.
• Maintain inventory counts and post totals.
• Coordinate loading/unloading with managers, supervisors, and vendors.
• Maintain quantity, type, and value of stocked materials.
• Adhere to safety and quality policies.
• May assist other departments as needed.
