Job summary

JAM, making the world sound better, is seeking a certified Forklift Operator in Southaven, MS. You will safely operate forklifts, move materials between receiving, storage, and shipping areas, and assist with inventory checks. A high school diploma and forklift license are preferred, with 1 year of forklift experience recommended.

You will work Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, focusing on accuracy, safety and teamwork in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• At least 1 year experience driving a forklift and forklift license.
• Must read purchase orders and packing lists precisely.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong teamwork and reliability.
• Basic Excel experience and communication via email.

Responsibilities

• Moves and operates forklifts to transport materials between receiving, storage, service and shipping areas.
• Organizes and secures materials where pallets and other materials are stored.
• Performs routine pre-inspection on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Manually loads or unloads material from pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices.
• Receives inventory and ensures daily inbound and return items are accounted for.
• Counts items to ensure accuracy and condition of received or returned goods.
• Coordinates loading/unloading with managers, supervisors, and vendors.
• Maintains inventory quantities and value of stocked materials.
