Job summary

American Textile Company is seeking personnel to handle putaway and replenishment of finished goods at our Duquesne facility. The role involves moving finished goods from receiving to storage using pallet movers, forklifts, or reach trucks, and ensuring accurate placement for efficient order processing.

Responsibilities include replenishment to picking areas, inventory transfers, and strict safety practices while operating equipment.

Qualifications

• Reading shipping documents and related paperwork.
• Ability to be trained to use a handheld scanner.
• Must be able to operate a pallet mover.
• Must be certified to use both a forklift and a reach truck per OSHA guidelines, onsite certification provided.
• Basic math skills required.

Description

This role is responsible for putaway and replenishment of all finished goods.

Primary Responsibilities

• Putaway - Responsible for moving finished goods received into Duquesne from the dock area to their appropriate storage locations using a pallet mover, fork lift, or a reach truck.
• Replenishment - Responsible for moving finished goods from their storage locations to the picking area to be used by the order processors to fill customer orders. Responsible for unloading cartons from pallets and filling storage racks with cartons.
• Inventory - Responsible for electronically transferring inventory picked for reprocessing or replenishment from its current location into the appropriate location.
• Safety and Equipment - Responsible for careful and safe use of all company equipment and property. Responsible for reporting any equipment problems to immediate supervisor, or the maintenance department. Responsible for performing duties in such a way to ensure the safety of oneself and one’s co-workers

Essential Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand shipping documents and related paperwork.
• Ability to be trained to use a hand held scanner.
• Must be able to operate a pallet mover.
• Must be certified to use both a fork lift and a reach truck according to OSHA guidelines. Certification is provided on-site.

Physical Demands

• Ability to constantly stand, walk, bend, reach.
• Ability to constantly lift and carry cartons weighing up to 25 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb on and off fork lift and/or reach truck.
