Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Lift Truck Operator II for the C Shift (7am-7pm) in Dalton, Georgia. You’ll prepare orders, move materials to production and warehousing areas, and assist with inbound/outbound logistics while ensuring safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a powered industrial truck (preferred).
• Able to complete powered industrial truck certification course (or Mohawk PIT certification).
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and quickly adapt to changes.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Mounting and dismounting the PIT repeatedly throughout shift.
• Repetitive reaching, bending, kneeling and pulling.
• Successful completion of a vision screen.
• Positive attitude and flexibility.
• Commitment to keep yourself and others safe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment and verify accuracy of order and products.
• Deliver raw materials to production lines and transport finished materials to warehousing and distribution areas.
• Assist with scheduling inbound loads and communicating with management.
• Assist management with raw material inventory counting and perform other inventory tasks.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment for defects or malfunctions.
• Monitor padding quality in buggies and report deficiencies to management.
• Ensure sufficient empty buggies and trailers for night shift.
• Operate powered industrial trucks/equipment to unload/load materials as needed.
• Attend job-related training and follow established SOPs and safety procedures.
• Maintain records and perform other tasks assigned by management.
