Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Warehouse/Forklift Operator to move goods within the facility and support inbound/outbound shipments. You will operate forklifts and lifting devices, perform routine safety checks, and help maintain accurate inventory levels in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires reading, basic geography knowledge, and attention to detail, with a focus on safety and teamwork. High school diploma preferred; forklift certification required upon hire.

Qualifications

  • Reading and writing English; basic geography knowledge.
  • Exhibits strong typing skills or data entry skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric forklift to pick up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse.
  • Operate lifting devices such as lifts, booms, clamps and other handling equipment.
  • Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack or move products and materials.
  • Perform regular safety and maintenance checks on machinery.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies.

Overview

Transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift. Move materials throughout the warehouse

Responsibilities
  • Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location
  • Able to operate lifting devices such as lift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch
  • Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials
  • Perform regular safety & maintenance checks by inspecting machinery to determine any repair need
  • Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules
  • Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies
  • Consistently follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team
  • Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
Education
  • High School diploma / GED equivalent (Preferred)
Experience
  • 2+ years Experience in operating forklift (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge. Medium
  • Exhibits strong typing skills/or data entry skills. Medium
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment. Medium
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Medium
  • Actively participates in safety policies, activities and implementations High
  • Knowledge of regulatory affairs, customs or other business areas of logistics.

Licenses and Certifications
  • Forklift Certification - Upon Hire (Required)
  • Must be dangerous goods certified Upon Hire (Required)
