Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a warehouse associate to perform a wide range of manual duties including loading/unloading, data entry, and quality checks in a fast-paced environment at our Palatine facility.

You will lift up to 50 lbs, operate basic equipment, verify materials in a database, and support a safety‑oriented team focused on accuracy and timely shipping.

Qualifications

  • Reading and writing English; knowledge of airport codes, destinations, and basic geography (medium proficiency).
  • Strong typing and data entry skills (low proficiency).
  • Detail oriented and able to work in a fast‑pace, high‑volume environment (medium proficiency).
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills (medium proficiency).
  • Actively participates in safety policies, activities, and implementations (medium proficiency).
  • Specialized computer knowledge (low proficiency).

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads cartons / boxes of merchandise onto or off of trailers / trucks, which involves lifting cartons overhead.
  • Determines where cartons need to be sorted and placed; stacks cartons / boxes onto pallets.
  • Checks, verifies, and audits materials and enters data into a database to ensure correct material is received and not damaged.
  • May operate power equipment to move merchandise.
  • Lifts up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis most of the working hours.
  • Identifies and removes defective products.
  • Puts freight away in designated areas.

Overview

Qualifications
Education Qualifications
  • High School degree / GED or equivalent preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • 1+ years freight forwarding experience preferred.

Benefits

In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for a bonus based on achievement of business and/or individual performance metrics (dependent on position).
