Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics seeks a forklift operator to transfer goods within our Bridgeton, MO warehouse. You will operate forklifts and lifting devices, perform safety checks, and maintain inventory accuracy to support efficient warehouse operations.

Required: 3+ years forklift experience, forklift certification, and dangerous goods certification. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and write English and perform data entry in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials in the warehouse.
• Operate lifting devices and related equipment as needed.
• Perform safety and maintenance checks on machinery.
• Load, unload, and stack materials; weigh and record data.
• Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies.
• Follow instructions and work independently or with a team.
• Comply with company policies and standards.

Overview

Transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift. Move materials throughout the warehouse

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location
• Able to operate lifting devices such as lift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch
• Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials
• Perform regular safety & maintenance checks by inspecting machinery to determine any repair need
• Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules
• Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies
• Consistently follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team
• Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
• The wage range for this position is $20.70-$28.60 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience

Education

• High School diploma / GED equivalent (Preferred)

Experience

• 3+ years Experience in operating forklift (Required)

• Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge. Medium
