Overview

The Forklift Operator II is responsible for operating material handling equipment for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. The Operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may perform order filler or checker duties. This role requires operating multiple types of forklift equipment within a rack warehouse environment, including sit-down/standup, clamp, cherry, and reach forklifts. Certification on at least 3 types of equipment is required, with at least 50% of work time spent operating these types.

Responsibilities

1. Stack and store merchandise using various forklift equipment, dedicating at least 50% of service time to this task.
2. Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations.
3. Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy.
4. Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed methods.
5. Maintain records for inventory control and security.
6. Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts.
7. Ensure proper stock rotation and report inventory discrepancies.
8. Use RF scanning equipment and demonstrate basic computer and Excel skills.
9. Report safety concerns promptly and adhere to safety standards.
10. Complete inspection forms prior to operating equipment.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
2. At least 1 year of forklift or warehouse equipment experience.
3. Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours and lift/pull 50 lbs.
4. Comfortable working in variable noise, lighting, and temperature conditions.
5. Availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
6. Strong attention to detail, customer service, and basic math skills.
